Medical Oncology & Hematology
Dr. Darshil Shah joined Ironwood Cancer and Research Centers in July 2017. He completed fellowship in Hematology and Medical Oncology at the University of Kentucky Markey Cancer Center, the only NCI-designated cancer center in the state of Kentucky. During his tenure at the University of Kentucky, he also served as a Chief fellow. Prior to that, he completed residency training and worked as an attending physician in Internal Medicine at the William Beaumont Hospital in Royal Oak, Michigan, after graduating from NHL Municipal Medical College in Ahmedabad, India. In addition to his vast medical training and clinical experience, he obtained a Masters in Public Health from the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, Michigan with a focus on Healthcare Management. With such a breadth of experience, Dr. Shah is committed to delivering exceptional patient care.
Dr. Shah specializes in all adult cancers and hematologic disorders. His special interest is in the field of immunotherapy. He has published manuscripts in reputed peer reviewed journals. Dr. Shah is an active member of the American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO) and American Society of Hematology (ASH). His goal is to provide innovative, optimal and comprehensive care to his patients.
