Dr. Harrison Bachrach is a board certified Medical Oncologist and Hematologist and joined Ironwood Cancer & Research Centers January 2012. Dr. Bachrach was born and raised in a farming community on eastern Long Island. He graduated with honors from the State University of New York Buffalo School of Medicine. Once completing his internship and residency in internal medicine at the University of Pittsburgh, he went on to finish a fellowship in hematology and medical oncology (blood and cancer medicine) at the Roswell Park Cancer Institute, and the State University of New York in Buffalo. He directly joined Desert Oncology in 1988 and has been practicing with Ironwood Cancer &Research Centers since their merger in 2012. He enjoys spending his spare time with his family, and has maintained a life-long interest and involvement in the performing and visual arts. Dr. Bachrach is board-certified in both medical oncology and hematology, and is a member of the American Society of Clinical Oncology, the American College of Physicians, and the AMA. Dr. Bachrach has been recognized by Phoenix Magazine as “Top Doc”.
