Dr. Leslie Klein joined Ironwood Cancer & Research Centers in October 2015. Dr. Klein has dedicated her professional career to treating and preventing the recurrence of adult cancers and blood disorders. Born and raised in California, she completed an advanced medical fellowship in oncology and hematology at UC Irvine, a National Cancer Institute-designated Comprehensive Cancer Center. Thus, Dr. Klein has gained firsthand experience with next-generation cancer therapies, including genetically customized treatments and advanced molecular therapies.

Dr. Klein has a particular interest in breast cancer. She authored a clinical trial using pre-treatment breast tumor characteristics to improve risk-prediction models and refine multimodality therapy for the ultimate purpose of enhancing the quality of life for cancer survivors. She expanded her global perspective on health care as a clinical guest of Shanghai Medical University and she provided medical care in underserved regions of Guatemala.

Dr. Klein is an adventurous traveler and a lover of live music. She lives with her husband in Scottsdale.

She is board certified in Medical Oncology and Hematology.
