Joining Ironwood Cancer & Research Centers in 2004, Dr. Shtivelband received his medical degree and PhD in Experimental Hematology in Russia. After Internal Medicine Residency, Dr. Shtivelband received fellowship training in Hematology and Medical Oncology at MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, where he stayed for an additional year to participate in experimental research. Treating patients with gastrointestinal malignancies, myeloma & lymphoma and hematological disorders , Dr. Shtivelband has particular interest in developing research programs to bring the newest advances in the field of Oncology and Hematology to our community. Dr. Shtivelband also heads the Ironwood Cancer & Research Center’s research program. He is Board Certified in Internal Medicine, Hematology and Medical Oncology.
