Breast Surgery First Assist
Peggy grew up in Indiana and went to Parkview-Methodist School of Nursing in her hometown of Fort Wayne. After graduation from Parkview she took the opportunity to further her education in Houston at Texas Woman’s University where she graduated with honors with her Bachelors Degree in Nursing. Determined to continue her education she received her MSN, FNP from the University of Phoenix in July 2007. She is a board certified FNP through the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners (AANP). She has been a member of the Association of Operating Room Nurses (AORN) for more than 40 years and maintains a certification from Competency & Credentialing Institute (CCI) as a Certified Registered Nurse First Assistant (CRNFA). For the past 14 years she has successfully managed her surgical assist business here in the East Valley. She has provided her services as a CRNFA over those years to many surgeons in various specialties. She joins Ironwood Cancer & Research Centers giving breast cancer patients a unique surgical experience. She believes every woman deserves a caring, compassionate and supportive experience, through their very personal journey with a diagnosis that all women potentially share. She lives in Chandler and enjoys spending time with her family baking and experimenting with new recipes, playing with her dog, and any DIY project that involves paint and a hammer.
