Dr. Rakesh Bagai joined Ironwood Cancer & Research Centers in July 2014.  He attended medical school at University of Cincinnati College of Medicine and completed his Internal Medicine residency at University Hospitals Case Medical Center.  Following residency, Dr. Bagai went on to complete a Hematology/Oncology fellowship at the renowned Cleveland Clinic, where he received the prestigious Caregiver Appreciation Award in recognition of outstanding leadership and exemplary oncology care.

Dr. Bagai specializes in several solid tumors and hematologic disorders.  He has actively been involved in clinical research trials to further understand factors in cancer resistance and to develop novel treatment strategies.  He has published in several well recognized, peer reviewed journals and has presented at national meetings.  He is a member of the American Society of Clinical Oncology and the American Society of Hematology.  He is married with two sons and in his spare time enjoys basketball and tennis.


Dr. Bagai was recently recognized as one of Phoenix Magazine’s Top Doctor’s in 2017 and 2018.
