Ancillary Services
The Ironwood Cancer & Research Centers’ staff recognizes that physical healing is only a part of wellness. Our philosophy is to offer services and connections which allow patients and their families to improve their quality of life and overall wellbeing through programs that complement our comprehensive medical care.

Ironwood Cancer & Research Centers offer and facilitate complementary programs in concert with mainstream care to manage cancer-related symptoms, relieve stress and enhance quality of life. Our services are intended to help anyone touched by cancer, their family members and caregivers. For more information, ask our staff.

Cancer treatment can be an overwhelming and demanding experience for patients and their families. Recognizing these challenges, Ironwood Cancer and Research Centers provides a broad range of services and resources for patients at one facility. These services will include:

• Nutritional support and information
• Cancer support groups: physician and peer hosted
• Breast cancer genetic counseling and testing
• Image support referrals: wigs and breast prostheses
• Internet Cancer Library and Resource Center
• Referrals for additional assistance as necessary

Research
ICRC is active in cancer research. Clinical trials offer our patients access to the latest cancer treatment options, often years before the therapy is available to the general community oncologist.

We are currently enrolling in Phase II and III targeted therapy and novel agent studies for Breast, Lung, Colon and Prostate Cancer.

Genetic Testing & Counseling
Ironwood Research & Cancer Centers offer, breast cancer genetic testing and counseling for patients seeking information regarding hereditary susceptibility and individual risk.
