Michelle received her Masters of Science in Nursing degree from Arizona State University in May of 2008. Her evidence-based thesis project, titled “Heart Disease Education for Hispanic Women” was successfully implemented. She was also the Graduate Nursing Organization secretary and was awarded Outstanding Scholar of the Graduate program for a GPA exceeding 4.0. She is board certified as an Adult Nurse Practitioner, and has joined the physicians to assist in the care of medical oncology/hematology patients. Michelle has thirteen years of healthcare experience, with seven of those years as an inpatient RN. Her areas of experience include hematology/oncology, medical/surgical, hospice, home health, and trauma intensive care. Michelle is an active member of both local and national chapters of the American Nurses Association and the Oncology Nursing Society. She is a native of Arizona, where she currently resides with her family in Gilbert.
