Darshil Shah, MD, MPH

Dr. Darshil Shah serves as the Director of the Gastrointestinal Oncology Division at Ironwood. He joined Ironwood Cancer and Research Centers in July 2017. Dr. Shah is Board Certified in Hematology and Medical Oncology. He received his medical degree from NHL Medical College, India. He subsequently completed his residency in Internal Medicine at William Beaumont Hospital, Michigan, and his fellowship in Hematology and Medical Oncology at the University of Kentucky, where he was a Chief fellow. He has a Master’s in Public Health from the University of Michigan Ann Arbor focusing on Healthcare Management.

Dr. Shah is actively involved in the education of medical students and residents from Creighton University School of Medicine and Midwestern University and serves as a Clinical Assistant Professor at Creighton University.

Dr. Shah specializes in gastrointestinal malignancies. He has published manuscripts in reputed peer-reviewed journals. Dr. Shah is an active member of the American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO) and the American Society of Hematology (ASH). His professional peers have selected him as a Top Doc in PHOENIX Magazine. He is, at present, an investigator in research trials. He aims to provide innovative, optimal, and comprehensive patient care.
