Danielle Williams (aka Diva Danielle) was in the prime of her life. She was in shape, eating healthy, and had a successful career as a broadcast journalist when her dentist noticed that her health was in question when a routine procedure wasn’t healing properly. After tests it was discovered that she had Stage 4 lung cancer. This was a shock because she never smoked and lived a healthy lifestyle. After meeting with Dr. Rajesh Kukunoor at Ironwood Cancer in Scottsdale, she received a treatment plan to treat her lung cancer. Diva Danielle is determined to show the positive side of this horrible disease. Now she incorporates her cancer treatment into her comedy routine, speaking engagements and has a strong presence on social media.

Oncologist Dr. Rajesh Kukunoor that treated Danielle says, “Although not smoking is the best way by far to prevent lung cancer, the truth is that not even the healthiest among us are free from risk of lung cancer. In fact, about 10% to 20% of lung cancer patients have never smoked. Lung cancer in never smokers is more frequent in women and occurs at an earlier age than lung cancer in smokers according to research.”
