Dr. Anthony Pasquarella joined Ironwood Cancer and Research Centers in September 2022. Dr. Pasquarella specializes in thoracic malignancies (Lung/Head & Neck cancer) and lymphoproliferative disorders such as Multiple Myeloma and Lymphoma and hematologic disorders. He is currently triple board certified in Internal Medicine, Medical Oncology and Hematology. He received his medical degree from Ross University School of Medicine and then went on to complete both his residency and fellowship at NYU Long Island School of Medicine in Mineola, New York.
Dr. Pasquarella is extremely interested in thoracic malignancies and how the field is evolving towards personalized medicine, including chemotherapy-free regimens with expanded options of targeted therapeutics along with the advent of immunotherapy. He has a particular interest in early palliative care intervention with his patients to ensure the utmost quality of life from day one of their treatment onwards. He has been involved in multiple projects that have been presented nationally, and has personally presented at ACP, ASH, and LLM. He has also been published in several peer-reviewed journals including JCO Oncology Practice and the Journal of Hematology. He is an active member of both the American Society of Hematology and the American Society of Clinical Oncology. He is at present an investigator in research trials.
On a personal level, he is rather excited to make the move from the Northeast to the Southwest. He enjoys the outdoors and has always wanted to live near the Rocky Mountains given his love for hiking, skiing, and general fitness. Arizona (in particular the greater Phoenix area) is expanding at an astonishing rate and he is excited to grow his practice and establish his footprint in the Western Valley!
