Dr. Luke Halbur joined Ironwood Cancer & Research Centers in 2005, following his residency in Internal Medicine and fellowship in Hematology and Oncology at the University of California at Irvine. He earned his medical degree at Loyola University of Chicago, Stritch School of Medicine. Dr. Halbur has been active in cancer research and has presented his results at the American Society of Hematology Annual Meeting. He has also been involved in clinical trial development. He is at present an investigator in research trials.
Dr. Halbur specializes in genitourinary, gastrointestinal malignancies and hematologic disorders. He has been an active member of several physician leadership committees at Banner Baywood Medical Center to help improve the overall care of patients in his community. He has been selected by his professional peers as a Top Doc in PHOENIX Magazine.
Dr. Halbur lives in the East Valley and enjoys spending time with his wife and two daughters. His hobbies include mountain biking, hiking, and cheering on the Suns and Cardinals. He is board certified in Hematology and Medical Oncology.
